For a picture to be chose as a Pulitzer Prize photo, it must convey a powerful message that provokes a strong response from its viewers. What is that message? What happened to produce this photograph? Why did the public respond to the photograph? For this assignment you will explore the "behind the scenes" events of a Pulitzer Prize picture of your choice.

GETTING STARTED:

     1)   Choose one Pulitzer Prize winning photograph (one per student)

     2)    You will:

  •  describe your Pulitzer Prize photograph in detail,
  • research the background behind the photo (using the project links and library resources)
  • research the background behind the actual photo incident 
  • research the response that the photograph  provoked from the public.
