Childrens Rights Speech
Children Should Have Fun in Life
Dear Delegates of the UN:
My name is Kyle. I am representing my country Canada, in the fact that we believe tht children should have equal rights as any body else. Right now most children are either living on the streets with no food, shelter, or any body to love and care for them. We believe that children should be able to make decisions on how their country is being run. We believe that children should be able to have jobs and make money. Each child should have schooling. This will give them a chance at making a good lifestyle. Right now there are too many children on the street. We would live a happier lifestyle if we had the knowledge that every child had a home, shelter, food, and schooling. But right now not every child has that and I know that deep down inside of even the grouchiest man there is a spot of sorrow and pity for the homeless children.
Every child should have the right to speak. The right to food, fun, and shelter. Right now not even a portion of the world has no homeless children. People have tried but their missions only taking care of a city’s worth of homeless kids. Not every unlucky kid doesn’t have a home. Children should not be beaten by their elders just because they made a mistake. Children should all have an adequate amount of food.
According to the convention on the rights of the child children have the right to participate in society. Children were supposed to be able to express their opinions freely without any discrimination. Children were supposed to have the right to use words as weapons and to contribute their views of what they think.
Right now this is happening in some places like America and Canada I believe is doing well, But in places in Africa, and Europe, and Australia there are people who believe that they can do anything with the lives of children, which I believe is wrong.
Children are supposed to be seen as individuals with rights and freedoms, who need to be protected from discrimination. If someone acts on a child’s ideas, beliefs, or skin colour then they are discriminating that person. I think that this has worked fairly well throughout Canada and the United states but not so well in Africa, Europe, Russia, and Australia. This is where I think the UN should be focussing on.
Children are not getting the support that they need to succeed in life and grow strong, this is how we get people on the street. We have the materials and the ability to stop this. My country Canada is going to try their best to prevent this but we need your help too. To help the children of our world.
Thank you for your time.
