       Dear Deligates of the UN (United Nations). I, George Findlay come before you with some concerns from Canada’s youth. I hope with you will listen to my concerns and take them to heart. I will be talking about kid’s rights to a shelter and the health care system.

To day, many kids are on the street with out a home. This was drawn to my attention when I was riding home last night . I saw a family huddled under a blanket. This really made me want to go out and help. It is said that over 10,000 people are on the streets in Canada and expected to double in the next 5 years. Sadly, one quarter of this people are kid, teenagers, or young adults. Due to this problem we have so many people on the streets and  it is hard for us to put every one in a home. There are a couple programs that help the homeless people find shelter for the night or even build a home. Though these program are in place, money is still needed to run them. A few of these programs like the "Mustard Seed" and "Inn from the Cold ", have to reject people every night due to overflowing numbers. The solution to help lessen overflowing is to give money to expanded their programs. All these foundation are volunteer run and run on donations. The way you deligates of the UN can help is to give funds to these programs all over Canada. This will result in getting people off the streets. For people that want to volunteer, all these programs would love your help.You can also help by giving seminar to kids in how how can get involved . Even better you can ask kids to give seminars because kids listen better to kids.

    If you are injured and have to wait for hours on end in the emergency room ,what good is it even for health care? The average wait time in the hospital in Canada on a regular night is 4 hours. This is due to all the doctors that are in these hospitals go to the U.S. because they have a two tire health system. That means you pay for your health care and you can get it down fast. To help Canada's health care I think you should put in a two tire health system. I believe that this will cut down the lines in the p;public health care and give people with money another option. Although this is a good idea you have to make  sure 80% of the money or higher goes to public health care. To attract doctors we could give them benefits when they come to the hospitals in Canada. These benefits would be like longer vacation and tax deduction.

    Thank you for listening to my concerns about Canada's sate of living for children. It is important to follow up on these ideas because our children are the future of the world because without no future there is no hope.
