Tom Rudmik, educator and entrepreneur, is the founder of Master’s Academy & College and Imaginal Education. Tom is passionate about implementing real change and is committed to the research and development of breakthroughs in learning and sharing them with the world. Tom is also an international speaker who is instructing and guiding organizations that are confronting issues of obsolescence and the need for transformation. He has created an innovative and powerful organizational change model on how to become an Imaginal Organization. Tom is the author of the book, Becoming Imaginal, Seeing and Creating the Future of Education. Tom is also the creator and facilitator of the Imaginal Transformation Workshop process. In May 2017, Tom received an honorary Doctor of Literature from Canada Christian College in recognition of his work in transforming education both in Canada and globally.

Paul Graham has many years of experience of senior administrative leadership experience, both in the business world as well as in the non-profit sector. Previously, Paul served as executive director of a national Canadian television program, executive director of one of Canada’s largest private publishing firms, chairman of Queensway Christian School, and executive administrator of one of Canada’s largest churches. Paul brings a wealth of experience and integrity as he leads a team of highly committed Master’s support staff.

Linda Dyck joined Master’s Academy and College in September 1997 as a pioneer member of the K-8 teaching staff. Upon joining the faculty of Master’s Academy and College she worked as a Junior High teacher, moving into the field of Administration in September of 2000. Mrs. Dyck believes, “The staff of Master’s Academy are committed to building a foundation for student character development, through the integration of biblically based values and the teaching of the Seven Habits of a Master Learner.” In addition, she is committed to developing a strong academic program, including skills that allow students to become future ready. Mrs. Dyck is pleased to note that Master’s Academy has been recognized three times, by the Fraser Institute, as a School of Distinction. Mrs. Dyck is married and has three children, all of whom graduated from Master’s College.

Susan McAllister joined Master’s College in September of 1999 and has served and mentored staff and students as a teacher, Vice-Principal and now Principal. After earning her Bachelor of Education from the University of Lethbridge in 1989 and teaching experience in both public and private schools, Susan graduated with a Masters of Education Degree from the University of Calgary in 1999. Susan is a passionate visionary leader who is deeply committed to advancing Master’s mission of developing graduates who have become Imaginal Leaders—the seers, learners and creators of the future. Through their years in junior and senior high, she prioritizes students’ academic success and supports opportunities for them to discover their strengths and develop their interests.

Saxon Morgan earned her Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Calgary in 1990, with a major in Elementary Education and minors in Literacy and ESL. Saxon began her career at Calgary Christian School teaching Grades 4, 5 and Music. She taught next at Fort McMurray Christian School as the Grade 6/7, 7/8, 4/5/6 teacher and as the principal for her last year there. For five years she facilitated homeschool families with several Boards in Alberta. Saxon taught part time at Trinity Christian School in Calgary as the Music Specialist. In the last five years she has been teaching at Master’s Academy, in Grade 4, and then in the role of the Learning Support Teacher. Throughout her teaching career, Saxon has participated in various areas of educational interest. She studied at the Centre for Gifted Education in Calgary, whereby her Grade 5 classroom was part of a cohort of classrooms open for Alberta teachers to visit and observe methods of teaching gifted students. She was the president of the Christian Educators Association (CEA) for three years, leading the prairie province’s private Christian schools in developing HR procedures, professional development standards and directly mediated disputes between teacher members and school board issues. She was part of the author’s group that published a Christian education unit “Peace Making Begins With You” for the CEA. Saxon was on the Alternative Schooling Task Force, with Trinity Christian School, to prepare two in-depth research documents to help private schools determine the comparative value of maintaining private status or considering alternative status within Alberta Education.

Brian ‘t Hart joined our Master’s Academy and College team in the spring of 2007 after completing a double degree in education and communication from the University of Calgary. He has worked in a variety of grades and classes. Brian has participated in numerous programs here in the school including athletics, missions, drama and professional development. Brian worked in the academy for seven years before transferring to Trinity Christian school for three years. He worked in junior and elementary teaching and mentoring students and student teachers. Brian participated in teacher mentorship programs over the last few years. In 2014 he graduated from the University of Calgary with a masters in technology integration. Brian has a passion for effective technology use and looks forward to helping Master’s continue to grow as a school.

Doreen Grey, a visionary leader for change in education, was Master’s Academy’s first principal. Doreen is both a risk taker and an innovator of new ideas. Doreen and her staff have undertaken several breakthrough initiatives in the areas of assessment, student empowerment, core skill development, establishing a culture for change, and intrinsic motivation towards learning, etc. In her career as a teacher, Doreen championed the cause of transforming assessment, and has offered many professional development opportunities to educators around the province. Currently Doreen provides leadership in the development of Master’s future ready Education Learning Model and the Professional Development Program.

Jeff Graham joins the Advancement Department after almost 15 years at Master’s in Research and Development. Jeff was hired at Master’s in 2004 after a period at Stanford University as a Ph.D. student, having received his Honours BA in Philosophy from the University of Toronto. Through a Master’s partnership with the MG Taylor Corporation, Jeff was part of a small international team in 2005 and 2006 that designed and facilitated workshops at the World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting in Davos Switzerland. The learning from the World Economic Forum was brought back to Master’s in a variety of R&D collaborations including the i.d.Program, which teaches students how to apply design and innovation to complex systemic problems. In addition to Master’s, Jeff’s work history includes consulting in healthcare, business, NGO development, and social innovation. From his years in R&D, Jeff brings a deep working understanding of the vision of Master’s to his role as Advancement Director. Jeff has three children, all of whom attend Master’s.
